MY EXPERIENCE
September 2001 - January 2003
Bank of Montreal | Flash Designer + Developer
The Institute for learning is BMO’s corporate learning facility. My first job out of college, I was part of a team that created interactive training CD’s for BMO branch employees. I designed (UX/UI) and developed multiple learning activities that would be tracked by branch managers to ensure employees were learning the required materials.
September 2003 - February 2007
Bigshot Media / Jupiterimages | Art Director
I was initially hired by this stock photography agency to work on their marketing material. However I was quickly transitioned into Art Direction and working with video as well as developing complex animations that would be sold as stock clips. I was also given the opportunity to manage a small team of designers - keeping them motivated and pushing them to reach their full creative potential.
February 2007 - February 2011
Push Interactive / Zig Ideas / CP+B | Digital Designer
My first ad agency experience had me focusing on very complex and intricate web design. These websites took consumers on a journey of the products being sold through enhanced story telling mechanisms. I had privilege of being involved on all major digital client work playing a number of different roles including design (UX/UI), animation, video editing, animation and audio production.
February 2011 - October 2014
Babyrobot / KBS+ | Digital Creative
Just like at my previous agency, my focus at Babyrobot/KPS was on digital first products - mainly websites. I continued to work on my craft in art direction, design (UX/UI), animation, video editing, animation and audio production. I also took on a leadership role at the agency, being the lead creative on all projects I worked on. I also began mentoring Jr designers that I recruited to the agency.
August 2016 - May 2023
GLU / Electronic Arts | Experience Designer
A a Games UX lead, I worked directly with our Product and Game Design teams to help shape the game experiences they came up with that addressed KPI targets. I also worked very closely with our UI team to ensure their input and understanding of the feature led to a smooth transition from design to implementation.
I led UX design on a number of features for Kim Kardashian: Hollywood; Kendall & Kylie; Taylor Swift: The Swift Life and Originals: Interactive Story Series
I also worked with multiple teams to incorporate UX practices into the the studio creative and production process to create a more unified flow to shipping our game features.
